About This Author
My name is Mike Gelhaus. I was born and raised in the greater Sacramento, California Area. After high school I moved to San Diego to study Computers and the Arts at UCSD.
During my studies I had the privilege of learning web-design/web art, electronic art, and a number of other computer related arts. Incongruently, I had also developed a strong passion for the world of gaming, not only as a gamer but also for the entire industry in itself (including game-design, development, and distribution).
I am currently still living in San Diego looking for a Job within the gaming industry and or web-development in the pursuit that one day I may help develop something truly creative and entertaining. My game design experience is limited aside from school education and some resulting school projects as well as what gaming experience I do have (which is quite a bit).
In the meantime, I am tooling around with this site, and few side projects to fill the time.
About This Site
This site is currently (November 2006) all about discovering the ‘blog-o-sphere’ (and a learning some more PHP on the side). I figured since I do have a strong background in all things web (mostly web-art), why not show off what I can do. Update (October 2007): I will also periodically post some tutorials that I have done for myself and friends that will serve a self reminders
